The South Lodge Gatehouse

The Jacobean Revival South Lodge, guarding the estate's parklands, seamlessly marries period charm with modern comfort. Ideal for one or two couples, it offers two regal king-size bedrooms. Enjoy dining in the stylish living-dining room, or relax by the garden fire pit. Take a soak in one of two bathtubs while admiring the historic 'Golden Gates' – salvaged after a shipwreck, on the orders of an irate former Earl. The house is only short drive to Balcarres' very own Dumbarnie Links.
